Veggies are coming!
Although it seems to be a never ending battle with weeds, we’re finally starting to harvest some veggies! And here are Brad’s giant pumpkins…they may not look like much now, but Brad has hopes of submitting an entry to the World Famous Canby Pumpkin Drop in October! (picture coming soon!)

Mickie’s Visit
On her way through Portland to Yakima, Mickie stopped by for a short visit. While in town we took in some of the local hotspots: Powell’s bookstore, Voodoo Doughnuts, Multnomah Falls, and Edgefield. Here’s Mickie at the falls.

We stopped by Clackamas Town Center to check out the annual Extrication competition. The teams were fun to watch but now we’re really excited to check out the experts in a few weeks – Dallas Fire Department!

We built a walkway and shelf for the cats so they could get away from the dogs. Tigger even helped Brad with one of the walkways!

Tucker’s new home
After spending the night in Bend, we stopped by to meet Tucker…. And decided to take him home! He is a 5-6 year old Australian Shepherd who loves to give love!

We stopped over in Bend to see Concrete Cowboys, a Portland-based country band, before heading on to meet Tucker! They played at a little bar called the Black Horse Saloon – the best people watching bar EVER!!

Annual Hay Bucking
All the hay farmers started cutting early this year, so we spent much of the weekend bucking our hay for the fall/winter (well, Brad did most of the bucking while Jodi drove the tractor). But the hay looks great and now our horses are set through the end of next summer!
