The Florida Keys
Today we drove south through Miami to the Florida Keys to check out where Brad lived as a teenager. We stopped for dinner at a seafood buffet on Islamorada and enjoyed the beautiful view.

Kenzie did A-mazing today! A 2 1/2 hour flight with a short layover in Denver then a 3 1/2 hour flight to Ft. Lauderdale – and no crying! She was able to get a quick bite and stretch during our layover…
And we’re on vacation!! A quick picture before we head off to the airport and the on to Florida!
Heading to the airport with three adults and an infant is no small task… It took the F350 AND a trailer!
Taking our weekly picture is now a two man job…. And even with reinforcements, it’s tough to get a good picture!!
And here she is posing for the camera:
Brad and Miranda spent several hours in the kitchen making lasagna so Kenzie and Dylan had a play date! We pulled out the tent and tunnels which kept them entertained for quite a while. By 5pm we had 2 tired kids and 15 lasagna ready for the freezer!
Brad and Mackenzie headed out to let the chickens out today and pick up whatever was ripe along the way. Quite a haul today. Some tomatoes, 2 kinds of squash, and an egg. Mackenzie was very interested in the tomatoes, they are just her size.
Later today we harvest the apple tree (probably about 50 or 75 pounds. Here comes the applesauce!
