Our plan for the day was to make our way to Cooper Island. But before leaving for a long day of upwind sailing, we made a couple of stops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First was a tour of the bay in the dinghy to check out Willy-T’s up close and get a better look at the beach bar and resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, we pulled up anchor and went about 10 minutes to a beautiful snorkeling site, which included caves. The caves were great, but without flashlights, we didn’t venture too far in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then it was time to sail! We spent several hours working our way east and worked through a bit of a squall with some bigger winds. It was a good “class time” and useful experience, then we picked up a ball for the night in Manchioneel Bay. There was a nice little on-shore rum bar, a market, and a place for ice cream, which we all had to sample. It was also a beautiful beach, but I was a bit stumped as to what the strange platforms were that were out in the water. Then it occurred to me, they were there so that you had a table for your drink while you were lounging in the water. They think of everything here!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
