This week I was in San Diego and Orange County for a few days meeting with potential clients for my IT consulting business, as well as catching up with some great old friends.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On Friday night I stayed at a hotel in downtown San Diego. I used to know that city pretty well from when I went to school at UC San Diego and worked downtown driving horse drawn carriages throughout college. But as I walked around that evening I couldn’t believe how much things had changed. I walked by the barn that we used stable the horses in (the old San Diego Police Station) and found that it’s now a Cheesecake Factory. I had to go in, and it was pretty strange remember all of the horses that were stabled in the same space that now full of tables and booths.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It’s really nice to see how far downtown has come. I could never live there again (I think I’m much better suited to live out in the forests of Oregon), but I had a great night remember all of the memories and friends I made during my time there.<\/span><\/div>\n
