10 days of sailing in the San Juan Islands and the Canadian Gulf Islands did not disappoint. Despite an engine failure (which turned out to be a great learning experience) and sailing in zero-visibility fog for the first time, the sailing, scenery, and wildlife were incredible. I saw killer whales, plenty of seals, several species of whales, and a few dolphins. This part of Canada is an area that I don’t think I knew much about a few years ago, but it’s absolutely stunning.
