So this last month, I’ve done way too much playing! After getting back from Europe, I had a week at home, then headed out on a 10 day trip sailing the San Juan Islands and up into Canada. It was just too good an opportunity to pass up!
I’m late posting pictures, but here is the first half of the trip photos. I went with a group of 19 people and chartered three sailboats. Met some amazing people who will continue to be friends, and saw some incredible sights along the way. We also experienced a little bit of heavy weather, which was one of my goals on this trip as I work on building my skills. And I was fortunate to be with some experienced folks who were willing to teach. Overall, an incredible experience!
This video was our first stop in Canada. We checked into the country in Poets Cove. There is a beautiful hotel and spa here, and regular float planes to the island to bring guests.

Morning sail plan briefing

We spent the night on an island which was a nature preserve set aside for Bald Eagle nesting.
