Kenzie and I left for a long weekend to see the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, which had been on my list for a while. The weather was a bit iffy, which meant we missed the huge sunrise launch. But the evening “Glow” was amazing. So many balloons, and as a spectator, you are right in the middle of all the action (and at times get pulled in to help the crews manage the balloons)!
We also spent some time checking out the city, visited the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History, passed by some of the filming locations of Breaking Bad, wandered Route 66, hiked outside of town, and saw lots of petroglyphs along the way.
It was a quick weekend, exhausting with the early and late shows, but a good time and great pictures!
