On the heels of an amazing trip sailing in the Virgin Islands, Kenzie and I had another trip already planned to Germany. For a few years, she’s been talking about wanting to see the European Christmas Markets, and I found a great deal on a flight so we booked it. At her age it seemed like a good opportunity to explore World War Two and Cold War history too.
We left the day before Thanksgiving (so for us, Thanksgiving dinner turned out to be pretzels and German sausage… no complaints from either of us though).
First stop was Munich, which was a great time seeing Christmas Markets, as well as a more sobering half-day trip to Dachau to visit a concentration camp.
